Privacy Policy

How Tropibyte handles information in connection with this website. The short version: this is a static, informational site that collects very little.

This Privacy Policy explains how Tropibyte, Inc. (“Tropibyte,” “we,” “us”) handles information in connection with the website at www.tropibyte.com (the “Site”). It does not cover software you download from us — that software is governed by its own license and documentation.

The short version

The Site is a static, informational website. There are no user accounts, no web forms that submit data to us, and no advertising or analytics trackers. The main way we receive personal information is when you choose to email us.

Information you send us

If you email us — for example at hello@tropibyte.com or bugs@tropibyte.com — we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it solely to respond to you and, for bug reports, to investigate and fix the issue. We do not sell this information, share it for marketing, or use it to train machine-learning models.

Information collected automatically

The Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like virtually every web host, Cloudflare processes standard technical request data — such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps — to deliver the Site and protect it against abuse. That data is handled under Cloudflare’s own privacy practices.

The Site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser renders a page it requests font files from Google’s servers, which means Google may receive your IP address and request metadata. That is handled under Google’s privacy practices.

Cookies

The Site does not set its own cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly-necessary security cookie to protect the Site. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.

Third-party links

The Site links to external services we use — including GitHub, Substack, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Once you follow a link to one of those services, this Policy no longer applies; each has its own privacy policy.

Data retention

We keep emails you send us for as long as needed to handle your request and to maintain a reasonable record of correspondence and bug history.

Children

The Site is intended for a professional, general audience and is not directed at children under 13.

Your choices

Because we collect so little, there is not much to manage. If you have emailed us and would like that correspondence deleted, write to hello@tropibyte.com and we will honor reasonable requests.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version.
